Climbing

Get to the top of the mountain and breathe in the freshest air in the world - a personal victory every time you scale a peak.

Walking, hiking, and climbing - they all have one thing in common: reaching ever upwards, trying to get higher than ever before. Once you reach the top, all the hard work in getting there is worth it.

It is such an indescribable feeling of sheer freedom when you look around you into the distance, enjoying the view: when you can proudly look back on the distance you have come and what you have achieved.

Climbing for Beginners

It's often difficult to start something new - but it's never impossible.

We can practise in some of the best rock climbing areas in Salzburg and learn the techniques climbing. The main emphasis lies in climbing safely and in putting one's own abilities to the best use.

A woman climbs differently to a man, steps and grips in other ways. On the other hand a child is hardly ever frightened of heights. Nevertheless, everyone will make it to the top as long as the guide has chosen the right sort of practice area.

Rock Climbing

he Via Ferrata - the Iron Route - a unique feature of the Dolomites and other mountains in the borderlands. It used to be a way of helping soldiers get over the highest mountains even if they were not practised rock climbers.

There has been a revival in this type of climbing particularly over the last few years.

The main difference: climbers don't need to anchor themselves all the time because they are harnessed onto the iron rope which is permanently fixed to the mountain. This means they can concentrate fully on climbing and don't have to be afraid of falling.
